SGI Origin Servers

The Origin 2000 and 200 servers are very scalable high performance servers that many large orginazations like ASCII and NASA use for their number crunching power and awesome I/O

Features:
Processors from a single 180MHz R10000 to up to as many as 512 500MHz R14000 processors!
From 128MB to 2GB of main memory per processor!
NUMA architecture that scales as processors are added, with 1600MB/sec bi-directional links
Graphics InfiniteReality, InfiniteReality2, InfiniteReality2E, InfiniteReality3, InfiniteReality4 as many as 16 pipes, and up to 8 monitor outputs/pipe
Optional 3-slot PCI box for PCI peripherals
Many XIO64 slots for Fibre Channell, 4port UltraSCSI, ATM, 4Port 100BaseT, PCI Shoehorn, PCI CardCage, and other high performance I/O options
BaseIO (IO6) has the following ports:

  • 10/100BaseT ethernet that will do over 11MB/sec in both directions simultaneously
  • 2 UltraWide SCSI busses(1 internal, 1 external) for 80MB/s total SCSI bandwidth
  • 2 high speed serial ports each capable of 450Kbps

    Origin systems come with a fresh full installation of IRIX6.5.22m. Media is not included unless otherwise noted. The latest Freeware can be loaded on request.

    Origin systems come with a 90day(from receipt) warranty that covers the hardware against failure. 12 month warranty is available for an additional 10%
